Best pub food experience I've had! My brisket was cooked to perfection, I really didn't need to use a knife, the sides were delicious and well presented. The staff were friendly and beer was great. Five stars
I had booked for 30+ people for a family get together, not realising they didn't have a specific dining area at the time.We sat in the main bar, a table set up for us, we all ordered our meals and were served quickly.The restaurant was absolutely flat out that night, but our meals were delivered quickly, and they were delicious!Only thing to fault, was there was no children's menu at all.I will be more than happy to return for a meal anytime.My compliments to the staff in the kitchen, bar staff and the lovely lady who looked after us on the night.
Foods great nice atmosphere
It has new owners and has been renovated inside. At the time of this post, the kitchen is closed for renos.Beer $3 cheaper down the road??? I'd be in that, if it were only true. Seriously, why do people make up, create, embellish, et al., their review?Schooners $3 cheaper is an outright lie! From this review, Paul Davies has proven himself a liar, and like his bogus review here, I suggest his other reviews aren't to be believed either.That would make the beers at The Exchange about $8.80 - $9.50 a pop... The local beers are in the $5 range - how's that $3 more expensive?C'mon....Just tell the truth - like the quality of the beer; it's fine. Other the the BS above, it's not really different to any pub/club in the whole town - I live here, I've been to them all, and The Exchange is just another pub except that it's the go-to pub in Taree on Friday nights...
My husband and I went to 'Plates' restaurant. His T-Bone steak was excellent. Meanwhile, I had the best Caesar Salad I have ever had. Well done to the chef
